Why

Reading is a big part of my life. If I know anything, it’s mostly from my reading. The books I’ve read have had a huge impact on my life and I thought it could be beneficial to share my notes and learnings from them with others.

Learnings

• Most people want the cliff notes to a book, rather than reading it. But the key is (if you want them to read your notes), keeping them short and brief. I.e. give me the main takeaways, then everything else.
• Substack is an interesting platform but mostly for people who already have an audience. Not really good at building an audience from scratch. There's no native distribution mechanism or channel for it yet. Something like Medium is much better at this for now.
